Burnout Detection Study

Self-report surveys that diagnose burnout are tedious, time consuming, and subject to self-report bias. We want to make burnout detection easier and more accessible

Study Information

Existing research has found that certain symptoms of depression and anxiety can be detected by analyzing vocal biomarkers (dynamic characteristics of a person’s voice, such as loudness and pitch). We think that similar techniques can be used to detect burnout, which would reduce the need to rely on lengthy self-report surveys which are currently used to detect burnout. The methods we are testing require that we gather a diverse collection of burnout assessment and vocal data. By contributing, you will improve our understanding of how vocal biomarkers can be analyzed to detect burnout.
